Follow these easy steps!
Step One: Complete the Application for Admissions and Submit with the Application Fee to Ohio University
- Click the "Apply Now" button at the top right of this page and complete the web form. After submitting
the form, click on the link provided to create an account for the online application.
- Note: you will be asked to provide your current RN license number during the application process.
- You must pay the application fee with credit/debit card at the time of submission. Your application
will not be submitted unless the application fee is paid.
- If you are an international applicant, submit your TOEFL results to:

Step Two: Request Your Transcripts
- Request official copies of transcripts from all colleges or universities that you
have attended since high school. An official transcript is one that you, the student, has
not seen or touched. There are two ways to meet this standard: (1) have the institutions send the
transcripts directly to Ohio University, or (2) if you have official sealed transcripts in your possession,
you may mail them with your application to Ohio University. You do not have to provide any transcripts
for any courses you have taken at Ohio University.
- Transcripts should include verification that you are a graduate of a State Board of
Nursing-approved associate degree or diploma program in nursing.
- Send transcripts to:
RN-to-BSN Academic Outreach Initiative
Ohio University
102 Haning Hall
Athens, OH 45701
- Under Ohio Board of Regents requirements, students that transfer from one institution to
another must provide an official copy of all attempted college-level coursework. This includes
coursework that was not applied toward an earned degree or a specific curriculum. Ohio University
strictly adheres to all Ohio Board of Regents policies.
Step Three: Apply for Financial Aid
-
If you are interested in applying for financial aid, complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), online at
www.fafsa.ed.gov, and include
Ohio University's Federal School Code - 003100. Select the 2009-2010 school year.
Contact Lisa Butler if you need assistance.
Step Four: Receive Communication from Ohio University
- After reviewing your application, Ohio will send notification of our
admission decision to you via email.
- The School of Nursing will review your previous coursework and will provide
you a course map that lists which courses to take to expeditiously complete your BSN.
Step Five: Enroll, Pay, and Start Your Coursework
-
Once you have the course map from the School of Nursing, you can enroll yourself
online into your first course of study and pay your first course tuition.
If you will be receiving financial aid, you need to register for all courses
for the term at one time for full aid eligibility.
